Safeguarding Training Video by Paul Nicholls

In these challenging and unprecedented times, we here at EELGA are working hard to support our councils.

EELGA have provided a safeguarding video to be used as e-learning for staff who are working with vulnerable people, either for the first time, or in a new capacity, with a view to giving them a clear understanding of how to report safeguarding related issues.

This video explains what we mean by safeguarding, and what you, as a practitioner, or as a skilled volunteer, should and should not do to support the most vulnerable in your community.

The messages in this video and the content of the training meets requirements set out in current legislation, such as Working Together 2018, and Care Act 2014. We will keep the content of this video under regular review, with a view to updating in line with any changes to legislation over the coming weeks and months.

Paul Nicholls created this ‘Introduction to Safeguarding’ video at the request of EELGA.
