Local Governments are under pressure to deliver more for their communities, from digital transformation to policies and programmes that address complex community and societal problems resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic and other world crises. With a new and modern structure – the Senior Leadership Challenge will give aspiring leaders the skills to support their councils to better serve their communities.

Are you ambitious enough to lead a whole council?

Imagine that the entire senior team has left (permanently)!

Six new senior leaders have been appointed, and you are one of them. You and your team need to get the council back on track.

An actual “day in the life” of a senior team, you will spend the day getting to grips with the challenges and opportunities senior leaders face on a day-to-day basis.

Full of fast paced action, scenarios and experiences, working with the Leader, partners and stakeholders to address real-life problems and solve them in real-time.

You will have experienced probably the most accelerated learning experience ever by the end of the day! In addition, you will get feedback on your performance from an Assessor who will be with you all day.

There are also awards to be won. It’s all up for grabs!

Teams participate virtually so you can meet together in-person and then join or all work remotely from home or another venue, just make sure you are ready for the challenge.

Please note: Due to last year’s event becoming oversubscribed, booking is purely on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Cost: The cost of the day is £ 1,999 plus VAT per team of six.

Please note: There will be a mandatory 60 minute briefing session for participants on the 10 November. This will take place at 10:30 – 11.30 via MS Teams.
