This session has been designed for Heads of HR/HR Leads within councils who would like to understand more about recruiting and employing refugees.
Hosted by Ferzana Kusair, Regional High Skills Refugee Employment & Employer Liaison Advisor at EELGA, this myth-busting session will talk you through:
- What the employment processes are for refugees.
- Why the perceived barriers are easier to overcome than you may initially think.
- Who to connect with to access this talent pool which could help to address recruitment and retention issues.
Case study – you will hear the first-hand experience of a refugee who has built a successful career in the UK and is now keen to help others do the same.
Any questions you may have on this topic will be very much welcomed.
