East of England LGA to give evidence at London Plan Examination in Public

8th January 2019

The East of England LGA will be giving evidence at the London Plan Examination in Public (EiP) taking place from 15 January until mid-May 2019. The EiP’s Panel of Inspectors will gather views on the London Plan, following the public consultation on the London Plan earlier this year.

The East of England LGA, through the Association's politically-led and cross-party Infrastructure and Growth Group and East of England Strategic Planning Officers Liaison Group (EE SSPOLG), is currently preparing its written statements in advance of the EiP hearings, emphasising the key points from East of England LGA joint regional response which can be found on our website.
This is an important opportunity for the East of England LGA to ensure that the views of East of England councils on the London Mayor’s ambitious growth plans for London, as set out in our response, are heard by the Panel.

The East of England LGA will be attending the following sessions:
  • Duty to co-operate, consultation and engagement
  • Overall spatial development strategy
  • Wider South East and beyond
  • Housing requirement
  • Housing Supply and targets
  • Monitoring Housing Targets
  • Land for Industry, logistics and services
  • Waste and circular economy
  • Transport schemes and development
  • Monitoring
