The event takes place on Friday 11th October in Stevenage; for more details and to register, visit the event web-site at:

Smart Parks 2019 will comprise a series of expert talks centred around the conference theme. There are also a number of trade stands and opportunities for networking, including a buffet lunch and refreshment breaks.

The programme is set to include the following with other sessions still to be announced:

  • Proludic will present on its Sports and PRO App
  • Info-point (Webnebulus) will look at the challenges, the hype, and the pitfalls of going ‘mobile digital’ using Bring Your Own Device and present case studies of how different types of outdoor venues are overcoming them
  • Jupiter Play & Leisure will explain the benefits of interactive play equipment, the impact they have on health & wellbeing, as well as the live usage statistics available
  • Hertsmere Borough Council will show how ParksHerts website users access details of the park they want to visit on their smartphone and will introduce the opportunity for others to do the same using the HelloParks platform
  • Chambers Electronics (supplier of people and bicycle counters) will cover various options for how to count the number of visitors to your site.
  • The Play Inspection Company will give an overview of how the inspection app can evidence that providers have been diligent in the inspection and maintenance of their playground assets, help maintain playground standards and defend any claims

This event is being organised by ParksHerts and ParksEast; The Landscape Institute is also supporting the event and their President, Adam White, will be giving an inspirational keynote address.
