Coaching and Health - Maintaining Wellbeing, building Recovery CPD

9th May 2018

All coaches outcomes are, to some extent, influenced by clients mental, physical and emotional health. So why aren't these influences taught and integrated into mainstream coaching courses….yet?

It is partly because of the remnants of a thinking system that places ‘health’ matters the other side of a medical issue boundary and partly because of confusion of how to navigate this boundary while including it in practice.

Our upcoming Coaching CPD day (a joint event hosted by the East of England LGA and Suffolk Coaching and Mentoring Partnership), on Friday 8 June, will take coaches through the thinking and introduce the practice that makes including all aspects of a client's life such as from how they sleep, eat, move and think, useful to coaching practice and outcomes.

Our facilitator, Executive Recovery and Wellness Coach trainer and consultant, Anthony Eldridge-Rogers explains “the impact of health levels crosses all organisational management boundaries in both the private and public sector. We will be exploring how coaches are ideally suited and positioned to be catalysts in performance improvement and overall health change both with individual clients and within organisations.

“During the CPD day we will look at some easy to use tools that will help coaches integrate these topics and, crucially, show how coaches can stay on ‘safe’ ground and solve the dilemma of straying into ‘medical’ expert territory.
