Building Solutions; from Homeless to Homeowner

6th March 2019

The current UK housing crisis presents local authorities with a complex set of challenges; local authorities need to be able to house homeless people suitably and efficiently, but also to plan for housing that meets the needs of all constituents.

Tackling homelessness and a shortage of homes across the East of England requires a range of solutions and integrated strategies, and above all, some new thinking. To combat the housing crisis, councils, housing and the homeless sectors are working together to provide the housing and support that our communities need.

On 4 April 2019 the East of England LGA, in Partnership with Rentplus, is holding a ‘Building Solutions; from Homeless to Homeowner’ Event at the Granta Centre, Granta Park, Great Abington, Cambridge.

Bringing together Chief Executives and Senior Officers with a responsibility for Housing and Homelessness, and Portfolio Holders for Housing across the East, the event will look at innovative solutions to reduce homelessness and meet local housing needs.

If your local authority would like to share innovative work that it is doing in tackling homelessness and increasing housing supply at this event, please contact Polly Webb to discuss (details below).
