Infrastructure and Growth Panel - Skills Legacies

How can local government can assist in the creation of a "skills legacy"?

The Infrastructure and Growth Panel has a focus on matters pertaining to:

  • Spatial Planning
  • Economic Growth
  • Levelling Up
  • Skills
  • Infrastructure
  • Transport and Connectivity.

Its role is to provide oversight of EELGA’s work within these fields, and to set strategic direction and priorities for policy work.

This meeting in particular will look to examine how local government can assist in the creation of a “skills legacy” in their areas following on from the considerable infrastructure development taking place in the East of England.

The Panel meets quarterly, and is currently chaired by Cllr Graham Butland of Braintree.

An agenda will be forthcoming closer to the meeting.
