The East of England Local Government Association is excited to partner with Dominic Chessum, Chessum Communication to deliver this training session to senior officers in the East of England.
This session is designed to give participants practical knowledge of how journalists work, provide techniques to improve interviews, and highlight the risks and opportunities inherent with media interactions.
The training session is designed in three parts with each part covering an essential aspect of the knowledge needed to work with the media effectively:
- Part 1 – Journalists and the changing media landscapes
- Part 2 – Preparing for interviews
- Part 3 – Interview techniques
The exercise is based on practical examples participants may encounter and is designed to allow delegates to immediately apply the knowledge they have just acquired in the previous sections of the course.
The session will run for 1 hour 30 minutes and will be delivered virtually via Zoom.
The maximum number of delegates for this session is 12.
Audience: Senior officers from member councils of the East of England Local Government Association.
