The London Regional Maternity Team in collaboration with experts by experience, has co-produced four educational short films. These short films, based on real-life experiences, highlight the importance of cultural competency and inclusive maternity care and serve as a valuable resource to support maternity healthcare professionals across London, helping them to build confidence to compassionately engage with, listen to and act on the diverse needs of all service users accessing maternity care.

Please note: This is session is for NHS Professionals.

This session will provide an opportunity to watch the South Asian Women film, meet and talk to the people involved in the creation of the film and discuss how these films can be embedded into NHS maternity services.

The other films being launch during February and March are:

▪ Gypsy Traveller Maternal Health – 26.02.2025

▪ Autism in Pregnancy – 05.03.2025

▪ Understanding the Black Maternal Experience – 19.03.2025
