Each year the Community Partnerships hosts an important conference for representatives from our communities, voluntary organisations, public services and local businesses. This popular event gives us all the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise, and work together to benefit our communities and businesses in East Suffolk.
This forum is always an exciting opportunity for participants to be brought up to speed on East Suffolk priorities, share their knowledge and expertise, and work together to help find solutions. Our theme is ‘East Suffolk: Bringing Ideas to Life’, with a focus on responding quickly and preventing the need for crisis interventions/support and we will explore some of the critical issues affecting our lives and identify how we can respond to them in a timely way that focusses on prevention within our communities, businesses and organisations including:
- Combating the effects of the rising cost of living on individuals and families
- Addressing the significant levels of isolation and loneliness people are experiencing within our communities
- Tackling increasing challenges to people’s mental health and wellbeing, especially our young people
- Testing new and innovative solutions to the mounting pressures on our transport system
- Confronting the growing inequalities amongst our residents, especially financial inequality and health inequality
Keynote speakers, workshops, seminars, and a wide range of information stalls will be on offer to explore these key issues shaping our lives, businesses, communities and environment in East Suffolk.
Community Partnerships work by utilising the incredible knowledge, experience and enthusiasm contained right across a wide range of organisations and communities in East Suffolk. Through data analysis, stakeholder engagement and collaborative working the Community Partnerships have collectively identified priorities for action and are busy delivering on them. We invite you to join us in March to support this crucial work.
