Sexual Harassment Training - How to effectively and safely support staff to embed The Worker Protection Act 2024 in all organisations.

From October 2024 new legislation (s40A Equality Act 2010) will create additional legal requirements for Councils, along with all Employers, to take proactive steps to prevent Sexual Harassment at Work.

Sexual Harassment Training

All sessions will have an initial tone setting reminder of safety principles in engaging with the session.

To provide interactive, informative and trauma informed training to support organisations commitment to creating a work environment free of harassment, bullying and victimisation, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

This training will provide an opportunity for all staff to understand not only the legislation, but also how to embed it effectively and manage the challenges that might occur and the support that can be accessed when claims of Harassment are raised.

  • Personal and professional boundaries
  • Understanding harassment including bullying, workplace violence, and sexual harassment
  • Support and response guidance
  • Self-care & signposting

Speaker Details:

Emma brings both lived and professional insights to each session, creating and delivering content that fosters growth, resilience, and practical skill-building. Emma is qualified to deliver Level 3 qualifications in Mental Health First Aid through Qualsafe and AET Level 3. Emma is committed to facilitating impactful learning experiences. She is a qualified Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) and Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA), with extensive experience in trauma-centric roles.

Emma’s approach centres on building psychologically safe environments where participants feel supported to ask questions, share openly, and collaboratively develop transferable skills. Drawing on her own background, Emma designs sessions that encourage reflection, empathy, and actionable understanding—whether in mental health, personal resilience, or professional
development contexts.

Each workshop is tailored to empower participants, providing them with tools to support their own well-being and strengthen connections with others. By merging evidence-based techniques with real-world relevance, Emma will ensure that learning is both engaging and practically applicable, helping individuals and teams to build confidence, awareness, and supportive practices for sustainable growth.

How the training will be delivered: The training will be delivered through MS teams and will not be recorded. It will be delivered through a power point presentation, visual materials and facilitate case study discussions. Each trainee will receive a copy of the training presentation and relevant hand-outs for future reference.

Audience: This training is aimed at all organisations.

Cost: The cost to attend this training is £85 plus VAT.
