
Outline:
- To understand the Polish Community and Culture
- To discuss the difference between the NHS and Polish Healthcare system
- To recognise the challenges that professionals encounter when supporting the Polish community and how these can be understood and managed effectively
By the end of the workshop participants will:
- Recognise the difference between Polish culture and British culture
- Understand the difference between the NHS and Polish Health system particularly in terms of neonatal and maternity care
- Recognise the reasons why Polish people may return to Poland for healthcare support
- Understand the barriers, which may affect Polish community engagement with services and identify possible solutions
Audience: Neonatal, Maternity, MVP and Perinatal Mental Health staff in the East of England Region.
