The conference is part of Suffolk County Council’s NSIP Centre of Excellence initiative funded by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) Innovation and Capacity Fund, and is the culmination of a series of seminars for the East of England held over 2022/23.
The conference will have a wide range of regional and national speakers, from local and national government, developers, research and legal. It will include presentations and networking opportunities.
Topics will include:
- Policy update from DLUHC
- Maximising positive outcomes from NSIPs for local communities (including community benefits, community mitigation, skills and employment)
- NSIP Cost Recovery and resource planning
- Good practice of engagement between Local Authorities and developers
The event will start at 09:30 and finish at 15:00. Structured networking opportunities will take place at 15:15 – 16:30.

Audience: representatives from Local Authorities within the East of England Region only. If places remain available after the 6 February the bookings will be opened up to a wider audience.
