
Outline: Facilitated by AJ Silver. A queer birth and postnatal Doula, Breastfeeding counsellor, baby wearing consultant, author, speaker and LGBT+ activist.
Objectives for the event:
- Learn the basics of language, stats and statistics, terminology and LGBT+ History
- Hear real life case studies of LGBT+ families in the UK
- Understand your place and purpose as an ally to LGBT+ Parents (value of personalisation and choice for every service user)
- An open and safe space for you to ask your questions
Audience: Neonatal, Maternity, MVP and Perinatal Mental Health staff in the East of England Region.
Please note: The workshop can only accommodate a maximum of 7 professionals per LMNS. If places are over subscribed you will be contacted, and priority will be given on a first come, first serve basis. ONLY Open to the East of England due to limited places.
