What is Emotional Intelligence and how do you coach someone to develop it? It is now recognised that emotional intelligence is a key aspect of high performance and yet the link between being self-aware, self-managing and performing at your best is not always so clear.
Coaches are often required to identify the underlying emotions that impact behaviour and then seek to support their coachee in becoming aware of how others may perceive these behaviours. They then need to draw the link to performance at work. There is statistical evidence of how emotions drive behaviours and thereby performance (EBW) that can help to unlock perceptions, challenge assumptions and provide a roadmap to lasting behavioural change.

This workshop outlines the fundamentals of emotional intelligence and the associated leadership competencies within the framework of a coaching assignment.  It uses practical examples to illustrate this and provides a toolkit for the coach to support the coachee in developing their emotional intelligence.
