The East of England LGA is running a series of free roundtable discussions in 2023 and 2024. These sessions are open to all councils in the East of England and their partner organisations. At the EELGA roundtable, you will hear from a guest speaker on each theme and have an opportunity to learn from, and share your own examples of, best practice, opportunities, and challenges.
Local authorities are in a unique position to understand the needs of their area. This granular understanding of “place” makes them excellent partners when it comes to the design, implementation and running of prevention-based services designed to boost wellbeing and reduce demand.
During this roundtable, local authorities, health partners, along with other local stakeholders in the community, will focus on the role of district councils within the Integrated Care Systems to improve resident’s health and wellbeing. We will have the opportunity to share the kind of work they are undertaking to promote the creation of healthy and sustainable communities.
The District Council Network (DCN) and The King’s Fund will share the findings from their recent report on the role of district councils in ICSs: Driving better health outcomes through integrated care systems | The King’s Fund (kingsfund.org.uk)
Who should attend: Councillors, leaders, chief executives, officers at all levels and other partner organisations in the East of England region.
Please note: if this session is oversubscribed places will be limited to 2 – 3 people per authority.
