The East of England LGA is running a series of free roundtable discussions in 2022 and 2023. These sessions are open to all members and colleagues of councils in the East of England and their partner organisations. At the EELGA Roundtable Discussions you will hear from a guest speaker on each theme and have the opportunity to learn from, and share, your own examples of best practice, opportunities, and challenges.

At a time when the UK job vacancies have overtaken the level of unemployment for the first time on record, it is essential to have a robust regional and local approach to skills provision. In this roundtable we will investigate the kinds of opportunities that could be unlocked by a decentralised, local, skills agenda, while also looking to confront the challenges in this area.

Agenda to follow shortly.

Who should attend: Councillors, leaders, officers, CEXs, business representatives and members of the VCS in the East of England region.

Please note: if this session is oversubscribed places will be limited to 2 – 3 people per authority.

If you have any queries please contact Matt Stewart, Policy and Programmes Manager, East of England LGA, email; matt.stewart@eelga.gov.uk
