The East of England LGA is running a series of free roundtable discussions in 2022 and 2023. These sessions are open to all members and colleagues of councils in the East of England and their partner organisations. At the EELGA Roundtable Discussions you will hear from a guest speaker on each theme and have the opportunity to learn from, and share, your own examples of best practice, opportunities, and challenges.
There has been an increasing focus on “place” as an idea over the last decade, culminating to the Levelling Up agenda of central government which features the economic, social and health development of places to be paramount. Local authorities are the natural representative of such place-based ideas, and given the government’s focus, this is a perfect time for us to meet and consider how to best shape our places, and share best practice on community development that local authorities are encouraging and instigating within their area.
Agenda to follow shortly.
Who should attend: Councillors, leaders, officers, CEXs, business representatives and members of the VCS in the East of England region.
Please note: if this session is oversubscribed places will be limited to 2 – 3 people per authority.
