The East of England LGA is running a series of free roundtable discussions in 2023 and 2024. These sessions are open to all councils in the East of England and their partner organisations. At the EELGA roundtable, you will hear from a guest speaker on each theme and have an opportunity to learn from, and share your own examples of, best practice, opportunities, and challenges.

With a general election in the near horizon, EELGA wants to ensure that the East of England remains high on the agenda of politicians and leaders. To help with this, EELGA has commissioned Metro Dynamics to conduct an economic and infrastructure review for the East of England, setting out how to support the region to unlock its economic potential, which will inform and support partners engagement with Government.

As part of this research, EELGA and Metro Dynamics want to get perspectives from a range of stakeholders on our collective strengths and potential opportunities which can drive growth forward, but also where there are challenges holding back the region from reaching its full potential.

On the 16th of January, we are hosting an inclusive growth roundtable and we encourage councillors, leaders, chief executives, officers at all levels and other partner organisations in the East of England to attend.

What is said at this roundtable will not only influence the outcome of the report, but will also shape EELGA’s advocacy, and how EELGA approaches this important year. Together, we can promote inclusive growth in the region, and seek to fulfil the promise of the Levelling Up agenda.

Please note: if this session is oversubscribed places will be limited to 2 – 3 people per authority.
