The East of England LGA is running a series of free roundtable discussions in 2022 and 2023. These sessions are open to all members and colleagues of councils in the East of England and their partner organisations. At the EELGA Roundtable Discussions you will hear from a guest speaker on each theme and have the opportunity to learn from, and share, your own examples of best practice, opportunities, and challenges.

There is an under supply of well located and good quality dwellings in the UK, leading to house prices rise in many areas. With the recent changes in Government direction around setting housing targets, it will be up to local authorities to make sure that housing remains high on the agenda.

In this roundtable we will discuss housing numbers, and how to streamline the pathway to delivering these numbers within the East of England. We will also be sharing how local authorities can diversify the housing in their area, maintain high quality homes for all kinds of households to inhabit, and address social housing waiting lists.

Agenda to follow shortly.

Who should attend: Councillors, leaders, officers, CEXs, business representatives and members of the VCS in the East of England region.

Please note: if this session is oversubscribed places will be limited to 2 – 3 people per authority.
