The East of England LGA is running a series of free roundtable discussions in 2022 and 2023. These sessions are open to all members and colleagues of councils in the East of England and their partner organisations. At the EELGA Roundtable Discussions you will hear from a guest speaker on each theme and have the opportunity to learn from, and share, your own examples of best practice, opportunities, and challenges.

In a year where inflation is expected to surpass 10%, largely on the back of increased energy costs, there has never been a more important time to consider our energy security. With the All Energy Coast of Suffolk and Norfolk and other major assets, the East of England will hold the supply of much of the renewable energy that will power this country. Therefore, we need to consider what the ramifications are for this shift, and how to manage this shift in a way that will benefit the East of England, and minimise it’s costs.

Agenda to follow shortly.

Who should attend: Councillors, leaders, officers, CEXs, business representatives and members of the VCS in the East of England region.

Please note: if this session is oversubscribed places will be limited to 2 – 3 people per authority.

If you have any queries please contact Matt Stewart, Policy and Programmes Manager, East of England LGA, email; matt.stewart@eelga.gov.uk
