The East of England LGA is running a series of free roundtable discussions in 2023 and 2024. These sessions are open to all councils in the East of England and their partner organisations. At the EELGA roundtable, you will hear from a guest speaker on each theme and have an opportunity to learn from, and share your own examples of, best practice, opportunities, and challenges.
Over the past two years, the UK has experienced the worst period of inflation in 40 years, driving up the cost of living for the entire country. While the rate of increase is now receding, prices are still going up, and there are no forecasts suggesting that they will go down in any meaningful amount.
During this roundtable, we want to talk with local authorities and stakeholders across the East of England to ask what challenges they faced in handling the crisis, and how they handled increased prices. Furthermore, how have they helped their residents, and even their employees, manage their way through this price shock?
Agenda to follow shortly.
Who should attend: Councillors, leaders, chief executives, officers at all levels and other partner organisations in the East of England region.
Please note: if this session is oversubscribed places will be limited to 2 – 3 people per authority.
