Focus on Technology
Rapid advances in technology, together with increasing use of data, are disrupting traditional ways of doing business and offering challenging and exciting opportunities for our local communities. Today will explore examples of how our communities can benefit from the new technology, and also take a tour of some of the cutting edge technology that is helping to improve the way we all live.
09:30 – 11:00: East Suffolk Smart Towns Project
Following a successful pilot in Framlingham last year, the East Suffolk Smart Towns Project will now be rolled out to 11 other market towns across the district. ‘Smart Towns’ uses the same principles as ‘Smart City’ technology to benefit rural town centres, high streets and communities. The project will deliver town technologies and provide an innovative business and town support programme to support digital transformation in East Suffolk. In this session delegates will be given a presentation on the project and will be given the opportunity to discuss how the whole community can benefit from the new technology. Facilitated by Morag McInnes, Economic Development Officer, East Suffolk Council.
This is part of the East Suffolk Community Partnership Annual Forum – 5 Day Virtual Programme. For further information please click here
