The East of England Local Government Association (EELGA) is holding an East of England Affordable Housing Network meeting to bring together councils from the region to share their experiences of providing more affordable homes.
The EELGA Housing Report shows that in December 2022, average house prices in the East of England were 25% higher than the national average, and cost on average 10 times the average salary. The region is facing an unprecedented affordable housing crisis. This informal network meeting is an opportunity for officers to meet with peers from across the region to discuss challenges and ideas for providing the much-needed affordable homes in this increasingly challenging context.
This meeting is aimed at Council Directors and officers responsible for housing, planning and growth.
