EELGA Response to COVID-19
We have followed government guidelines in response to COVID-19 and this week we moved the entire East of England LGA to a virtual organisation. This means we are now operating our full services to you remotely and have resilience to continue doing this. We will be working remotely for an initial six weeks and this will be reassessed as and when necessary.
Please be assured that we are committed to continuing to deliver the excellent service provided for membership organisations.
Throughout our remote working services, we will regularly be in touch with you via the telephone, Microsoft Teams and email. All staff contact details can be found on our website.
We are working to ensure that, as normal, a full service can be provided. If you have any queries about how you can access our resources or support, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Details of our Talent Bank Associates can be found on the website and utilised in the event that you have capacity gaps or face particular challenges in managing the current situation.
What you will see from us over coming days and weeks:
- We are working with the region’s chief executives, heads of HR and leaders on specific initiatives to support councils during the COVID-19 emergency
- We are coordinating regional intelligence on COVID-19 and feeding this back to Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) as well as supporting the dissemination of information from MHCLG to our member authorities
- Regular emails and bulletins will be sent out to keep the region up to date on our work as the situation evolves
