East of England LGA Events, Including the AGM

We are reviewing all meetings and events for the next 3-4 months with a view to taking decisions about virtual vs in person meetings for the summer and early autumn period.

With the cancellation of the national Local Government Association conference we are now seeking to replace our usual AGM arrangements at that event with a virtual meeting on 1 July 2020.

We are starting to reconvene our panels and will be working with panel chairs and members to refocus their work within the recovery phase, using the findings of the virtual recovery forum.

East of England LGA officers will ensure there is good notice of future meeting arrangements and whether these will take place in person or virtually.  To assist with this, we are currently evaluating the various platforms available for hosting larger virtual meetings and conferences, to make sure we have the most effective virtual offer in place for larger events.
