Description Sian Goding is a Project, Public Programme and Community Engagement Professional, with more than twenty-five years’ expertise gained working in senior leadership roles as an elected Unitary Authority Councillor delivering local, regional and national representation and helping make ambition a reality. Sian has strong capabilities in local and national pay negotiation procedures, is an accredited Peer Reviewer with the Local Government Association and experienced participant in senior interviewing procedures, negotiating complex systems and resolving previously insoluble problems. Sian was Deputy Leader of Luton Council for ten years from 2011, ensuring high quality and accountable service delivery to the best professional standards. As Lead Member for Regeneration and Inclusive Growth with Luton Borough Council she was appointed non executive director of the Council’s special purpose housing vehicle and has a wealth of experience working with landowners, developers, housing organisations and other stakeholders. As a founding member of the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee at Luton Sian also has much experience providing effective Member oversight for local health services. Sian has successfully led large and small meetings in often challenging environments: resolving conflicts and enabling open debate As a qualified midwife and Senior Lecturer Sian previously worked at University level delivering health and community related programmes. Sian has over 15 years experience as a Lay member on Employment Tribunals appointed by the Ministry of Justice. Sian was the first female Chair of Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service and served a number of years as Lead Member for Fire on the LGA. She was for many years the Lead member for Workforce on the LGA and Chair of the Employers side NJC for Local Authorities
