David has extensive public sector experience, gained over 20 years leading corporate level strategic planning for climate action and net-zero, energy procurement, budget management and sustainable service delivery. He has worked corporately across district and London Borough Councils, leading the climate agenda across housing, corporate property, finance, planning and environmental health departments. As Head of Sustainability, he led operational delivery and steered capital works in a major UK university, managing teams and budgets across the organisation.
He is a chartered environmentalist, a member of the energy institute and holds a PhD focused on local government legal duties and powers relating to climate change. His cross departmental working skills and practical approaches bring departments together to common strategy goals, demonstrating service enhancement and valued adding cost saving approaches. As a serving RAF Reservist, David was commended in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2020 for his leadership during a major transformation project in battlespace management.” |
