Project Officer – Parallel Lives Project

t: 07920 257964

Sue is a Project Worker on the Parallel Lives Roma Project which is funded for two and a half years from 1 October 2017 to 31 March 2020 from the Government’s Controlling Migration Fund. The project is about the social empowerment and inclusion of Roma people across the East of England, and developing a better understanding of Roma culture among frontline service providers. This project forms a part of the wider work of EELGA’s East of England Strategic Migration Partnership.

Sue is an ‘economic migrant’ herself, having moved to Cambridgeshire in the late 1980’s from her home town of Warrington where she worked in social development for the New Town Development Corporation. Sue’s career in the East of England over the last twenty-five years has encompassed Local Authority Community Development work and Public Health Management for a number of NHS organisations. She also enjoyed a three year stint running her own independent Public Health Consultancy.

In her spare time Sue enjoys walking; classical music and keeping in touch with far-flung family and friends.
