Cheryl Davenport

Managing Director

Cheryl joined the East of England LGA as Managing Director in May 2020, after directing Health and Care Integration at Leicestershire County Council for 6 years.

Cheryl has 30 years of experience in developing trusted relationships with high-level stakeholders from health, local government, business, and academia. Her career has included leading membership organisations in both the USA and UK.

In her role as Director of Health and Care Integration, Cheryl led the delivery of Leicestershire’s Better Care Fund - a £60m pooled budget and multi-agency transformation programme, integrating health, care, housing and prevention.

Cheryl was appointed Honorary Professor at De Montford University in 2018 and is a member of the External Advisory Board at the University of Leicester’s School of Business.
