Vine East picks up PPMA Award

Vine East, the online platform for e-learning, won the PPMA Award for Innovation at the PPMA Seminar in Birmingham.

The award recognised the work VINE (which stands for Virtual Network) East has done to enable 41 local authorities to actively sharing e-learning.  Recent additions to the pool of e-learning material include Preventing Illegal Working; Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Young People; Lean Methodology: Waste Elimination; Introduction to Data Protection and Safeguarding Adults.

Michelle Kirk, East of Englang LGA co-sponsor and member of the Project Board said "Vine East is connecting learning across the whole region, reducing both developmental costs and duplication.  It's a dynamic way for people to learn at a time and pace that suits them".

EELGA is currently exploring ways to add e-learning material for Member Development to the Vine East project.

Local authorities looking to join the Vine East project should contact Martin Stein, Senior HR and L&D Advisor at martin.stein@eelga.gov.uk or Alison Stott, Project Manager at Alison.stott@essex.gov.uk.
