Technical briefing with CLG, VOA and CIPFA on the retention of business rates

Following the consultation on Government's original proposals, this event brings together CLG, VOA and CIPFA with local authorities in the East of England to examine the latest implementation plans. This will ensure strong understanding of the technical detail to underpin the scheme's successful delivery, with politicans and officers having the opportunity to follow-up on the concerns and queries raised in their original consultation responses. The major focus will be on finance, but economic development and finance professionals may also be interested because of the schemes associated impacts.

CLG, VOA and CIPFA are developing a briefing paper for attendees which will be distribute nearer the date.

This event is free for local authority members and officers. As places are limited, if you register and don't attend without sending a substitute, you will be charged £50 plus VAT.
