The Local Government Association, in partnership with the regional employers organisations and regional local government organisations are delivering a series of regional events for councillors who were elected to office in 2011 onwards.

Why you should attend
As part of its core offer to councils on member development, the Local Government Association (LGA), in partnership with the regional employers organisations and regional local government organisations are delivering a series of regional events for councillors who were elected to office in 2011 onwards.
The events are free to attend and will include sessions at each event exploring:
- The role of and the support available from the LGA nationally and regionally
- The role of the regional employer bodies.
- Key issues around the Housing agenda
- Sector-led improvement and Workforce issues
- The changing players in Community safety
- Other workshop topics centred around the LGA Business Plan.
You will also have the opportunity to meet and network with other new councillors from across the region.
Who should attend?
The event is open to councillors elected in 2011 onwards.
