Understanding demographic projections and forecasts is at the heart of effective planning for growth.  Councils in the East of England and across the country are increasingly undertaking local plans in a challenging and ever-changing policy environment, as such working collaboratively to understand the interdependencies between neighbouring authorities and regions is essential for sustainable (housing and economic) growth.
At this timely event, officers in the East will have an opportunity to find out more about the GLA’s national demographic model and engage with GLA colleagues on the implications of the model for local authorities in the East, both individually and collectively. The event will also showcase the work of the East of England Forecasting Model and provide an update on LSE Migration Review which is currently being undertaken on behalf of the East of England LGA.

Target Audience: Local Authority Planning Officers / Knowledge and Intelligence Officers in Local Authorities and LEPs
