This workshop, delivered in partnership with the national LGA and Eastern Region ADASS, will provide participants with the opportunity to focus on how digital can support social care outcomes and health integration.

It is an opportunity for senior officers to engage with colleagues across the region to consider how they can better use information and technology to support social care outcomes and health integration.

The workshop will be informed by the findings from the LGA’s recent Social Care Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA), including particular issues identified by councils in the East of England.

The focus of the session is how digital is a key enabler to addressing key social care and health objectives and challenges including promoting independence, managing demand, supporting integration and addressing delayed transfers of care.

Participants will:

  • Hear about how councils across the country  are using information and technology to improve social care outcomes and support integration
  • Consider the East of England and national findings from the Digital Maturity Assessment
  • Work with peers to identify how digital can help address local and regional social care priorities
  • Network and make new contacts with colleagues across the region
  • Learn about some good digital work happening throughout the region

Relevant officers are likely to include Assistant Directors, Heads of Service and Service Managers within a responsibility for social care and / or digital activity.  This might include officers with managerial responsibility for information sharing, commissioning, assistive technologies or mobile working.
