East of England Regional Council for Local Government Services

The East of England Regional Council is made up of the local authority representatives on the Local Government Employers Panel and representatives of Unison, GMB and the T&G.

The Council is responsible for negotiating and consultating at a regional level and is serviced by the Regional Employers Secretary and the Trade Union Secretary.  The Council or the joint secretaries may delegate responsibilities to other regional officers.

The Regional Council sponsors the Annual Regional Equalities Award and the Regional Workforce Development Award.

Regional Agreements

Most conditions of service are either negotiated nationally or are determined at a local level, but there are a number of regional agreements that are still being updated until they are superseded, please see the link to the left of this page.
