By car

From the A14

Take the Bury West exit (Junction 42) and follow the A1302 (Newmarket Road) towards the town centre. After about 1 mile turn left at the traffic lights into Western Way. At the mini roundabout take the second exit (straight on). At the next mini roundabout take second exit. Take the first right hand turning which will bring you to the visitors' car park at West Suffolk House.

By public transport

Train

The nearest station is Bury St Edmunds, which is about 1.5 miles away. It is served by direct trains from Cambridge, Ipswich and Peterborough. Taxis can be found outside the station and your journey from there should take 5-10 minutes.

Bus (from the railway station)

No. 80 departs from opposite the railway station every 30 minutes from 07:02, stopping outside West Suffolk House, taking about 45 minutes.

No. M44 departs from the railway station every 20 minutes from 07:04, stopping outside West Suffolk House, taking about 20 minutes.
