Homelessness in the East of England

Against a background of recent rises in homelessness acceptances across the East of England, EELGA's Housing Project has researched current statistics and trends relating to homelessness for each local authority in the East of England.  

We have also looked at recently implemented policy changes, for example Local Housing Allowance, and others on the horizon such as welfare reform which evidence suggests will have a direct impact on homelessness in the future.

Our findings, together with a number of summary points for local authorities to consider when assessing the likely demand for their homelessness services in the future, are set out in the following documents:
