Campaigns and Projects

The Association plays a key role in a wide range of policy issues that are of concern to councils and their communities in the East of England.

Our major campaigns are led by Networks of Council Portfolio-Holders which, through the Association's Assembly, Council Leaders resolved to establish around a small number of key priority areas.


We also deliver a range of discreet projects, making use of additional funding opportunities. including:

Be a Councillor - a new and exciting campaign to encourage more people to stand for election as a councillor.

Health Reforms - information and details of how we are supporting local government deliver the health reforms in the East of England.

Housing Project - providing a transitional support package to member councils.

Climate Change Skills Fund Project - a project, funded by Communities and Local Government, designed to boost local authority expertise on the delivery of sustainable infrastructure, energy and low carbon economic development for their area. 

EU Connects - a new and dedicated resource for local authorities, the voluntary sector and Local Enterprise Partnerships, to improve access to and take up of EU funds in the East of England.

Strategic Migration Partnership - a UK Border Agency funded project to support and develop regional migrant worker networks, support agencies and projects, as well as work with asylum seekers and refugees.
